Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Leagh Harfield
Dr. Harfield earned his dental degree from the University of Manitoba in 1986 (Class Valedictorian). Upon graduation he practiced general dentistry as an associate in Winnipeg for three years. In 1989 he opened his own general dentistry practice in Calgary, Alberta. In 1996 Dr. Harfield enrolled at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California where he earned a Master's degree in science as well as his Specialist's Certification in Orthodontics.
Dr. Harfield strives to provide the most ideal and advanced treatment for all of his patients through a customized and individualized approach. He and his wife have two children. Dr. Harfield is interested in cars, music, travel and spending quality time with his family.
Dr. Michael French
Dr. French earned his dental degree in 2003 from Indiana University where he graduated as the top student in his class. He then went on to earn a Master of Science Degree and Orthodontic Certification at the same school in 2005.
Dr. French is proud to provide each of his patients with the ultimate level of care and personalized service, using the latest orthodontics techniques and appliances. He and his wife have six children. Dr. French is actively participates in school functions, church and community service.

Our team of professionals are all members of the College of Alberta Dental Assistants. We take part in on-going educational programs so that we stay abreast of the latest orthodontic technologies and treatments. You will find that each member of our team is friendly and very knowledgeable. We enjoy meeting new patients as we like to watch each person obtain the smile that they have always dreamed.
Types of Braces We Offer
There has been great progress made over the past few years in the field of orthodontics. Now, in addition to metal braces, patients have the opportunity to wear the Damon Clear braces, which are a part of the innovative Damon System. These braces combine self-closing braces and high-tech arch wires that are clinically proven to move teeth more quickly and comfortably. The Damon System uses what is called a 'passive slide mechanism, which maintains the arch wires within the bracket, allowing the teeth to move more easily. There is much less friction with this system, resulting in faster and more comfortable results.
The Invisalign System takes a very modern approach to teeth straightening. This system uses a customized series of aligners (“clear retainers”) that are custom designed for you and only you. The aligner trays are made of clear plastic, which you simply wear over your teeth. Your teeth will gradually shift into place, based on the exact movement our doctors’ plan for you. There are no wires or metal braces involved. You simply put in a new set of aligners every couple of weeks until your treatment is complete, resulting in a confident smile you have always wanted.
Your First Visit
During your first visit, we will get to know you and what your treatment goals are. Depending upon our doctors' diagnosis, you may be allowed to choose from several treatment options, which include metal braces, clear braces or transparent aligners. We will outline your treatment plan, discuss the length of treatment and the approximate cost.
